DESCRIPTION:
Hepatosil is a nutritional supplement indicated for dogs and cats affected by liver disease. It is composed of SAM (S-adenosylmethionine), Silybin, Selenium and Vitamin E.
S-adenosylmethionine is an enzyme that helps in the detoxification function of the liver and increases the levels of glutathione, which is the greatest defense against oxidative stress involved in liver diseases and preserves the integrity of cell membranes, reducing liver fibrosis. Silybin stimulates the production of new hepatocytes and liver regeneration, and also prevents the penetration of hepatotoxic agents at the cellular level. It strengthens inflammation and has an immunomodulatory action. Selenium is part of glutathione peroxidase, improves antioxidant defense and has an anti-inflammatory action. Vitamin E prevents hepatocytes from oxidative damage, allowing the liver to function properly.
