DESCRIPTION:

Medication indicated to relieve the annoying symptoms of hyperacidity and gastrointestinal burning.

Gaviscon  It is used for the symptomatic treatment of hyperacidity of the stomach and heartburn caused by acid reflux from the stomach. This medicine contains a unique combination of naturally occurring sodium alginate and antacids. Sodium alginate forms a protective barrier at the mouth of the stomach, which prevents acids from rising into the esophagus, thus preventing heartburn caused by reflux. In addition, the medicine quickly neutralizes excess acid in the stomach, combating the sensation of heartburn. It provides relief for up to 4 hours.
